Buses to the Symphony!

The North Mallorca Lions started their bus trips from the north of the island to see the Balearic Symphony Orchestra perform in Palma for the 2016-17 season.

A new, government-sponsored bus system is in place for this season that goes to the same towns as the Lions’ bus: Alcudia, Puerta Pollensa, Pollensa, and Inca. The government bus is free, and tickets to the concerts are €22 euros. But this transport and these special prices will only be for seven out of the 15 concerts of the season.

The North Mallorca Lions will book a bus for the other eight concerts at a discounted cost of €30 for ticket and bus.

People must book at least one week ahead of the concert to get a place on the bus and these prices.

Successful Diabetes Testing in Pollensa!

On Friday, October 14, from 10am to 1pm at Tercera Edad de Colonya in Plaza Monares in Pollensa, the North Mallorca Lions had a very successful free diabetes awareness testing event. We tested more than 50 individuals, referring two people to their doctors for further tests.

We plan to have more diabetes testing events in 2016 and 2017. Please contact us if you would like to volunteer!
